May 24, 2012 Sketch Challenge

Hello paper crafters! Are you all excited it's Friday or what!
We know that this time of year is really busy for many of us, with end of the school
year parties, graduations, baby showers and weddings! We know
it takes time to come by and to participate in challenges
and we thank you for your time!
We hope this will bring you the inspiration we all need this time of year!

I've always found this split design interesting in scrapbook pages
and so designed this sketch layout to try it out. We hope that this
unique and fresh design will inspire you to pull out that beloved photo
and get it scrapped!

Here is what our always super talented Design Team has made...

DT call at Stuck on U Sketches!

Hello, fellow scrappers! We are very excited today to announce that we are adding yet another challenge to our line up! As of the first week of August, we are going to be adding Card Challenges based on SOUS original sketches.  These will post on the first and third Wednesday of every month. As with our other challenges, participants will have 2 weeks to upload their projects.  Are you excited? I know I am!!

So, with that said, we are looking for 6-8 DT members to be on the Card team.
If you enjoy doing cards and are interested in being part of Stuck on U, then please leave a comment on this post and also email your application to clarkson (dot) sandi (at) gmail (dot) com. Please put DT CAll in your subject line. We will need your blog address and a list of any galleries that you post your work to regularly. We prepare our sketches well in advance and give you plenty of time to get your work ready for posting. This is for general card making, no die cutting required. But we are looking for accomplished artists who regularly blog, take wonderful, clean photos and are fun, friendly and have the time to comment on participants blogs.

We are also looking for a very limited number of people to join the regular Sketch layout team and the Die Cut team. So, if you would be interested in one of those 2 teams instead, please send your application to the above email address.

There is no remuneration for being on any of the Stuck on U Sketches team. Just lots of fun and camaraderie and an opportunity to design with some really fun, talented  people!

We look forward to hearing from you! We will be taking submissions through June 15th.

New Sketch Design Team Member

Hi friends! Happy Mothers Day weekend!
We wanted to pop on really quick and give a real introduction to Sandi Smith who has
joined our sketch DT. We are so thrilled to have her and hope
you will help give her a warm welcome! She already fits so well into the team!
A perfect gift for our followers this weekend! *Smile*
Here is her beautiful photo and a bio to get to know her...

My name is Sandi Smith and I live in Newfoundland, Canada with my wonderful husband and 2 great kids, Rick is 20 and Claudine is 13.I did my first layout in January 2010 and was immediately addicted to this wonderful hobby! I am obsessed with all things associated with scrapping and I am sure I have read every" how to" and watched every tutorial that has been made! I am always in "scrapbook mode ", constantly looking at things in our everyday lives for sources of inspiration. I just love paper, flowers, ribbons, lace and of bling.  I don't think I have a definite style as it depends on my scrappy mood but I do love to tear, wrinkle, ink and I usually sew on my projects. It's hard to believe that just two years ago I didn't know this scrappy world existed and now I cannot imagine not having this creative outlet in my life. I am thrilled to be part of this amazing team and I look forward to creating with the beautiful sketches here at SOUS.

Again, welcome Sandi! Glad to have you with us!
Hugs to all on this joyous weekend!

May 11 Another Original Multi Photo Sketch

Hello, Hello all! Happy Friday to you!
We are excited to share a new challenge with you this week and
want to thank you all who have been participating in our challenges.
And also, those who just sneak on in for some fabulous eye candy
and inspiration. We don't all have time to play or to comment but we
know you are coming by to view the projects and thank you
for doing so! Never worry about just popping in and out, we appreciate
you coming by either way!

Now we have asked for your opinion on sketches before and so here
is a request for multiple photos. If you find you don't have that exact number
then try using great patterned paper in those blocks (where the 3 photos would be) and
fill with a bold embellishment. There are many ways to look at a sketch!
That was just one quick idea!

Want more ideas? Well check out what our team has done and prepare to be amazed...

And wow, we have all been so impressed with the projects! Thank you
for joining in on our challenges and keep them coming! We love to visit you.
And we have noticed that word verifications seem to be limited on
more blogs recently and we appreciate that greatly. Thanks.
So in no particular order and after seriously way too much time deciding...
you all really rocked this challenge out!

Now I won't mention whom (me, Leah) chose the wrong challenge for the last
Top 3 so let's see if I can get it right this time. LOL! These lovely gals pages came from the April 13 Challenge. So sorry this is late! Please leave a comment below with an email address
so we can get you a winners badge! Thanks!

Ok, ok...don't go just yet! We need to tell you all the winner from last month's blog
candy. Some fantastic handmade flowers from our fabulous leader Nanne!
You will about die when you get these in person and you'll see the time that
was certainly put into making these! What a treasure!

So...from the challenge during April our winner is...

Congrats Karen! Please leave an email in the comment
section below and we'll contact you for your address!

Thanks to all for sticking with us! Long post today!
